Remember the card game, War? It is a great way to teach your child about more and less while having fun! I'm not real comfortable with the name and words used during game play, so I came up with "More!" and when declaring "More!", you say, "I will have more!" (instead of "I declare war."). Here are the rules of the game in case you can't remember:
- Pass out cards to your child and yourself until all cards are split evenly.
- Hold the cards in one hand, face down.

If you're looking for some books that your child can read to you, check out the white bin with drawers. Each drawer is labeled with the skill level of the books. Easy Readers are geat because each focuses on specific sound/s and similar words. If you'd like to borrow a couple, feel free to take them out of the bin. Please be sure to return the books before taking out more. Thanks! Continue reading ...

You should NOT be parking (leaving your... Continue reading ...

If you are able to switch your days, or if you'd just like to fill in for her, please let me know ASAP. Today, it was just the two of us to run three centers! Eeek! Continue reading ...

We are in dire need of baby wipes! The children use them to clean their hands before snack and lunch time. If you have an extra pack of wipes you could bring in, it would be greatly appreciated! Continue reading ...

We still have children coming to school without snacks. Remember, on extended days (M, T, Th, F) children need a lunch AND a snack. Even if your child is buying lunch, you still must pack a snack. I usually have something extra packed in Jake's lunch bag that I can share with those children who do not have anything to eat. It would be a nice gesture if you could bring in something healthy that doesn't need refrigerating. This would provide food for the children who arrive without a snack. Tha... Continue reading ...

This addition will NOT replace the paper version; you will still receive hard copies in the homework folders on Mondays. Homework will be posted on the calendar for times when your child is absent or the homework pages have been lost. A change to make your life easier! Continue reading ...
