Thank You, Moms!

May 22, 2010
Thank you very much for coming to the Mother’s Day Celebration! I know how difficult it is to get away from work in the middle of the day. Thank you very much for sharing your day with your child in Room 1! I am truly touched by the beautiful, delightful and meaningful quilt from the families in Room 1. It will be a treasured keepsake of mine for years to come. I am honored to be given such a loving gift.

Clip Up? What?

April 9, 2010
You've probably heard your child talking about how they clipped up or down. My husband said, "What the heck is he talking about?" Mrs. Moffett has introduced a behavior chart for the children. The chart has levels, such as "Outstanding, Great job, Good day, Ready to learn, Think about it, Teacher's choice, Parent contact", and each child has a clothes pin with his/her name on it. Each day, every child's clothes pin starts at the "ready to learn" level. From there, they may clip up or down depending on their behavior that day.

Each day, ask your child, "Did you clip up today?"
